On the momentum of opening to the world, Vietnam has created more opportunities for Vietnamese children to access advanced education and training programs of international standards. Among these stands the International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes which are designed and offered by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO).
According to the Representative of HCMC DOET, schools that want to offer the IB programmes must first align with multiple requirements from IBO regarding the facilities, the programme delivery, and the faculty competency. American International School Vietnam (AISVN) is among the very few international schools that fully meet those rigorous standards to bring this honorable curriculum to Vietnamese students.
Following recent reports, the average IB score of AISVN graduates is 34 points, compared to the world's average IB score of 29.9. The highest IB score achieved by AISVN students is 44/45. Sharing why AISVN delivers the IB Continuum programmes, Mr. Barry Sutherland - AISVN Head of School said: "The school set its mission to develop a generation of global citizens who have all the necessary characteristics to succeed in an ever-changing world."
“I decided on the IB program for my 7-year-old daughter following research of the teaching programs of international schools in HCMC for quite some time. After 2 years of studying here, her hesitance has faded, and she can now confidently communicate in English with friends and even knows how to organize her time for study and play. This result gave me the confidence to put my second child into the school.” Ms. Nguyen Thu Ha, a residence in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.
The IB Diploma offers students the confidence they need to enter prestigious universities worldwide, giving parents a great sense of security from sending their children to AISVN.
