Natural Science subjects always require high practical application, therefore, The American International School Vietnam pays great attention to facilities to support experimental and experiential activities. This is also one of the strict criteria to be considered a full International Baccalaureate (IB) school.

In the Secondary building, there are a total of 7 science laboratory classrooms, spread from the 1st to the 4th floor with  international standard equipment. The design of  laboratories includes:

• The front portion of the lab is arranged with tables and chairs, projectors and is set up similarly to a standard classroom for students to participate in theoretical lessons.
• Behind is a testing area with kits, chemicals, safety equipment, microscopes and science instruments for students to perform different types of experiments based on theoretical content taught.  Experiments help students collect empirical data as well as master practical skills.

 Students are more engaged through hands-on discovery and application versus text book theory.
