One of the impressive facilities at American International School Vietnam (AISVN) is the indoor swimming pool on the ground floor of the Secondary building, which is used for the entire student body.

The swimming pool is 25m long and 12.5m wide - depth from 1.4m-2.2m and a small pool 4.4m wide - depth from 0m-1.4m, with 2 separate dressing areas specifically for male and female students. The pool area is supervised by a team of professional swimming coaches and lifeguards around the clock. Pool water is cleaned by a special filter, vacuumed 2-3 times a week and regular use of chlorine tablets (200g) to disinfect, kill bacteria, viruses, parasites to promote balance to the water. The most impressive feature is that the pool has a circulating water system through a heating system to ensure the water temperature is always maintained at 29-30°C, maintaining a suitable temperature even if the weather is hot or cold. Due to the strict control of the water’s pH, it will range from 6.8 to 7.6 (drinking water has a pH between 6.5 - 8.5), which makes it gentler on the skin.
