Mr. Mike joined AISVN in 2013. He began his teaching career shortly after college at an American school in Guatemala City, Guatemala. It was here where he fell in love with international teaching. After two years in one of the most dangerous countries in the world, Mr. Mike wanted to see a new part of the world, while sharing his experiences with a new group of students. He then worked at an American school in Pristina, Kosovo, one of the newest countries in the world, located in Eastern Europe. Life was very different here for Mr. Mike, but he didn’t let it bring him down, as he embraced the local culture and ended up having an exciting and very successful two years here as well.
Mr. Mike came back to work at AISVN. He not only enjoys working at AISVN where he can grow professionally, but also is eager to learn as much as he can about the Vietnamese culture. On the weekends, if Mr. Mike isn’t traveling, you will often find him playing or watching various sports, such as baseball, football, soccer, rugby, and frisbee.
