On the 22nd January 2022, American International School Vietnam (AISVN) proudly brought 700 gifts to poor families in Nha Be District, HCMC, on the occasion of Tết. The charity event was held in cooperation between AISVN and the local authorities as an attempt to help these families have a better new year.
The school's Board of Directors, staff, and some foreign teachers presented the households with gifts worth 300,000 VND each, which includes necessities such as rice, eggs, and sugar. , seasoning powder, fish sauce, soy sauce, cooking oil and instant noodles. This is an annual activity that the school has maintained for many years, as a contribution to reduce anxiety for people in the area, especially during Tet.
On behalf of local authorities, Ms. Le Thi Anh Thu - the Deputy Chairwoman of Nha Be District People's Committee expressed her appreciation and acknowledged the support of American International School Vietnam (AISVN) for joining the government in offering care to the unprivileged: "It is a very precious act from the school to visit deliver gifts to households as this promotes the warmth and sincerity of humanity. Such an act of kindness have given the local poors the opportunity to celebrate Tet with joy and prosperity!"
