Kaden Hogan - a clever pen name by mixing up the letters of his real name; Khoi Hoang - AISVN alumni, is the author of the book “Humans of Climate Change: A Cultural Journey to Explore Climate-Change Impacts, Solutions, and Hope” which is currently available on Amazon and receiving positive review.
Khoi Hoang has always been interested in sustainability and how we need to protect the environment since he was in high school, using his home region as an example. “One of my first personal experiences with climate change was during a school field trip to Can Gio District, where we learned about the rising sea level and the importance of mangrove forests. I remembered planting a mangrove tree in the mud during this trip!”
Sharing his academic and career success, Khoi Hoang said: “I would go as far as saying that the years I spent at AISVN have shaped me into the person that I am today. When I was 12, I moved from a public school in a small town to AISVN – a top international school in busy Saigon. Little did I know, I would experience a culture shock just 80km away from my home town. The ability to adapt to a new environment that I acquired during my years at AISVN, made my next move of over 10,000km to the UK much more manageable.”
Aside from being an author, Khoi also works full-time as a Research and Development Engineer at Vert Technologies - a small start-up developing a novel patented compressor technology, which is another contribution towards sustainable energy.
