Mr. Martin joined the ΛIS faculty in August 2015 and previously served in the role of English Language Development Coordinator for the secondary schools. Mr. Martin holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Electronic Media from the University of Oregon and master's degree in Education Administration from California State University at Northridge. Additionally, Mr. Martin also holds the Secondary Teaching Credential in English from the State of California, and prior to joining the ΛIS faculty, he served on the faculties of secondary schools and universities in South Korea, Thailand, and the United States.

Mr. Martin is an avid soccer fan and has enjoyed his opportunities to play and coach the sport. Before entering the field of education, he worked in advertising and film where he learned the importance of creativity and adaptability. One of his favorite quotes comes from Mahatma Gandhi and reads: “Live as you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever”.
