In the afternoon of June 11, the entire AIS Middle School family gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of the school year as we looked forward to the future. Students received awards for their academic success as well as recognition for contributions in leadership, athletics, and citizenship. Our 8th grade students received their diplomas and were observed for their hard work as we looked back at their final school year at AIS middle school.
Mr Blake Stoke, Social Studies teacher has represented the faculty to send a heartily note to students. He said “I have never met a more respectful, hard working, driven group of students in my life. I get the general sense that each and every one of you fully understands how fortunate you are to be able to receive your education in this environment. I feel like this understanding comes from your daily experiences with those that are less fortunate.” His speech was thoughtful, inspired and very humorous that could create some relaxed moment in a formal event like this.
Students from grade 8 have also replied with the lively and reflective speech in conversational tone of two top students Lisa (Nguyen Bui) and Jenny (Linh Dong).
Finally, Mr Greg Corry, the Vice Principal of Middle School, ended the ceremony with his closing remark with the appreciation to every students, parents, teachers, staffs for another successful school year in AIS.
