Dear Parents and Students,
American International School (AIS) is pleased to announce that we are introducing a new Parent/Student information and communication system called Edline at the start of Spring Semester 2010. This system will replace the current AIS School Information System (SIS), which you have been familiar with. The aim of this changeover is to improve accessibility and add new capabilities, which can enhance communication between the school, parents and students.
Edline is an internationally known web-based educational software solution, which is currently used by thousands of US and International schools. It can provide parents with up-to-date information on their child’s academic performance and activities at school. This web-based system can be accessed anytime and anywhere. Therefore, parents can monitor their child’s performance even when at work or on travel.
With Edline, parents will have instant access to information such as:
- Their child’s class attendance
- Their child’s latest grades
- Assignments which not been turned in
- Notes from their child’s teachers
- Email alerts when new grades are posted
- Notifications of school or class information
- Daily announcements, school policies, and classroom news
- Team and club activities
- And much more…
Each AIS parent and student will have his/her own Edline account. AIS will provide you the initial account setup information, including Activation code. Parents with two or more children studying at AIS can keep track of all their children’s information with a single account. Please read the attached “Account Setup Guide” carefully before using Edline.
We hope that all AIS parents and students will benefit from the advanced features of this new parent/student information and communication system.
