Dear Parents,
We are very excited to offer a field trip to Passage to Vietnam Crafts Village (Cu Chi District) as part of the Grade 6 curriculum.
What:
The main goals of our Vietnamese curriculum are not only to refine students’ Vietnamese language skills such as listening, speaking, reading and writing but also to develop their knowledge of Vietnamese culture, history and geography. Hence, AIS organizes a field trip to Passage to Vietnam Crafts Village to provide students with an authentic learning experience.
The trip will enhance students learning in many ways, foster their creativity, independence and team spirit and expand their knowledge of the history and culture of Vietnam. During the trip, each student will play the role of “a little journalist”. They will learn how to listen to others opinion, solve problems, make friends and work in groups. They will write a report after the trip.
The guided tour will take place in the morning. In the afternoon, students will learn how to making objects from clay at Pottery Village. Their products will be baked and sent back to school later.
When:
The trip will take place on Thursday, March 14, 2013 (see the itinerary attached).
