As a school authorized to teach a standard American curriculum in the English language in Vietnam, AIS strives to develop students who are lifelong learners, knowledgeable in many subject areas, and passionate about both their local communities and the world. Students of Vietnamese nationality will be required to take Vietnamese Literature, Vietnamese History, Vietnamese Geography and Vietnamese Civil courses.

The admissions process at AIS is selective and has been developed to ensure that the mission and curriculum of AIS are well matched to the individual needs of each child. Evaluating a child to determine whether he or she is a good candidate for our college preparatory program is a multi-dimensional process. If a candidate is not selected for admissions, they may be eligible for conditional acceptance, in which case the student would be required to enroll in an immersion program. These programs, held during the summer, are designed to advance the students level of English in a short period through intensive study.
