The admission process at AIS is selective. AIS admits students who have demonstrated academic excellence at previous institutions and possess a level of English commensurate with our curriculum requirements. Each prospective student must complete an application for admission, a series of tests to evaluate their English level and a personal interview with Principal/staff member. The entire application process is conducted at AIS. On interview day, students should bring academic transcripts and other records of work done at previous schools. If a candidate is not selected for admission, they may be eligible for conditional acceptance, in which case the student would be required to enroll in an immersion program. These programs, held during the summer, are designed to advance the students level of English in a short period through intensive study. The admission procedure at AIS has been developed to ensure that the mission and curriculum of AIS are well matched to the individual needs of each child. Evaluating a child to determine whether he or she is a good candidate for our college preparatory program is a multi-dimensional process. If you have any questions about this process, or to schedule an interview, please call the Admissions Office. |
