American International School (AIS) is a private college-preparatory school providing an American education of the highest quality to students residing in Vietnam. Located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, the school's new facility houses modern classrooms, science and computer labs, a multi-media center, a library filled with rich resources and an intimate auditorium/performance space. AIS has been developed by American educators and is one of the first schools to offer a US-based curriculum from 1st through 12th grades to a growing student population in Vietnam, both Vietnamese and international students, eager to study abroad. With a fully-credentialed American faculty, the school prepares its students for success at the finest universities in the United States.

GregArticle.jpgOn April 28th AIS welcomed the new elementary Principal, Mr. Greg Loney.  Greg has 30 years experience in education and 20 years as a principal.  He is very passionate about education and is excited to be starting his new job here at AIS.  He looks forward to getting to know all of the students and staff of the school.

He will be joined by his wife, Anne, in July who will also be teaching at the school. Anne is a very experienced and highly regarded educator with a passion for teaching.  Together they will strengthen the team at AIS.  Already Greg has been greatly impressed with the students at the school and their desire to learn.

He has also had the opportunity to meet some parents and has been impressed with their enthusiasm for their children's education. Greg believes there are solid foundations and there is tremendous potential in the school given the desire of all involved to grow.
